Training and grading journey

My Taekwon-Do journey started in 2000 with Grandmaster Manning IX at the BUTF School in Harrow. I gained my Black Belt 1st Dan in October 2006 and then moved to the U.S.A. in 2008, got married and lived in Fort Lauderdale and then San Diego for just over six years.

I continued training and assisting in classes in the U.S.A. under the ITF and attained my Black Belt 2nd Dan in June 2009. After a short break to have my son Logan, I continued my Taekwon-Do journey and attained my Black Belt 3rd Dan in September 2012.

After returning to the U.K., I continued training with Grandmaster Manning IX in Harrow and helped in class as much as I could while working towards my Black Belt 4th Dan, which I attained in November 2017. I continued training and assisting in Harrow and, with much encouragement, opened my own school in Pinner in May 2019. During COVID, I relocated to North Harrow in 2021, where I continue to run my classes.

I’m delighted that my husband and son now assist with teaching in class. They have both recently attained their Black Belts, and I’m very proud to have them alongside me, helping our students develop their skills and confidence.

For questions about classes or getting started, please contact Mrs Kisson.
